Two pages depicting the escape of the Ape-O-Nauts from a doomed Earth in 3955 AD and their return to modern time.  Notice that Milo is not present in the crew, another glaring omission from the original story (see the entry for the POTA album).   You'll also notice again that this spacecraft is a traditional capsule, not very big, and that it has, like some artists depict the "Icarus" as having, obviously non-functional engines.
